Restructuring of Kasaragod parliament constituency do not make any majour impact on political equations of this seat.Kasaragod constituency have its own specialties in tradition,language,culture and cast.this lok sabha constituency cover whole assembly segments of Kasaragod district and two from Kannur.Assembley constituencies from Kasaragod are Kasaragod, Manjeswaram,Uduma,Hosdurg,Thrikarippur and Payyannur and Thaliparamba from Kannur.
No doubt ,previous results says Kasaragod is a LDF stronghold.But Manjeswaram and Kasaragod move with UDF.In the northern areas BJP have strong influence and they have a pool of more than one lakh votes in this constituency.
